Motorized blinds that open, close, and schedule themselves

Quiet battery, solar or hardwired motors on any blind or shade — controlled by remote, app or voice, and installed by the team that measured it.

01
Quiet, torque-matched motors

Sized to fabric weight and width, not a one-size retrofit kit.

02
Battery, solar or hardwired

A power source for every window, wired or not.

03
Remote, app or voice

One system controls a single shade or an entire home.

04
Professional measuring

Every window measured before we order a single motor.

What makes an Arcadia motorized blind different

Retrofit motors added to an existing headrail rattle and lag. We build motorization into the blind from the start — a quiet, torque-matched motor sized to the fabric weight and width, wired or charged so it runs silently for years.

Key Features

Everything included as standard

01

Whisper-quiet operation

Motors are matched to fabric weight and width, so they run smoothly without the whine of a generic retrofit kit.

02

Group and room scenes

Every remote and app groups shades by room, so one tap opens an entire wall of windows together.

03

Battery, solar or hardwired

Rechargeable battery packs for retrofits, solar charging where there is sun, hardwired for new construction.

04

Works with your smart home

Native integration with Alexa, Google Home and Apple HomeKit, plus sunrise and sunset scheduling.

Why Motorized

A home that adjusts itself around the sun

Reaches every window

Skylights, stairwells and windows behind furniture open with a tap instead of a pole no one can reach.

Saves energy automatically

Scheduled closing on west-facing rooms cuts afternoon heat gain without anyone remembering to do it.

Safer for kids and pets

No dangling cords or wands — motorized shades meet current child-safety standards by default.

Adds real resale value

Smart-home features are one of the few window upgrades buyers notice and ask about at showings.

Step One

Choose your power source

How the motor gets its power decides how it's installed — and how often it needs attention.

Rechargeable Battery

A slim lithium pack inside the headrail, recharged every few months with a small plug. No wiring needed — our most common retrofit.

Solar Charging

A discreet panel mounted on the frame keeps the battery topped off indefinitely on any sun-facing window.

Hardwired

Wired to line voltage during construction or renovation — no battery to ever recharge, best for high-use rooms.

Step Two

Choose your control system

Every motor pairs with a remote by default. Groups, schedules and voice are where it starts saving you trips across the room.

Standard

Remote Control

A handheld or wall-mounted remote runs one shade or a grouped set. Included with every motor.

Popular

App Control

Adjust from anywhere, set sunrise and sunset schedules, and group rooms into one-tap scenes.

Smart home

Voice & Automation

Full integration with Alexa, Google Home or HomeKit — shades respond to routines, not just commands.

Typical DFW Project

$95–$260 per motor, installed — smart hub and voice setup adds roughly $150.

Questions

Motorized blinds, answered

Anything we haven't covered? Call (682) 271-7646 and speak to the designer who would visit your home.

How long does a motorized shade battery last?

Most rechargeable battery packs last three to six months between charges depending on how often the shade is used, and recharge fully in a few hours with the included cable.

How much do motorized blinds cost in DFW? +

Motors typically add $95 to $260 per window installed on top of the blind itself, with a smart hub and voice setup adding roughly $150 for the whole home. Your quote is fixed once we have measured — no deposit taken at the consultation.

Do I need an electrician for motorized blinds? +

Battery and solar-charged motors need no wiring at all. Hardwired motors, typically chosen for new construction, are wired in by a licensed electrician as part of the install.

Can motorized blinds work with Alexa or Google Home? +

Yes. Our app and hub integrate natively with Alexa, Google Home and Apple HomeKit, so shades respond to voice commands and existing routines.

Can I retrofit motors onto blinds I already own? +

In many cases yes, if the existing headrail and fabric weight are compatible. We assess this at the free consultation and recommend a replacement only when a retrofit would not run reliably.
